Domestic Assistant - Evenings

Contract type: Permanent 

Hours: 10 hours per week Mon - Fri, 6pm - 8pm (with some flexability around these times), term time plus 3 weeks during the holidays for a deep clean.

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Anticipated start date: ASAP

Purpose of the Job:

We are looking to appoint a Domestic Assistant to support our cleaning team in the School during evening hours. Your responsibilities will include sweeping and mopping floors, wipingdown and vacumming the classrooms, communal areas and toilets on a daily basis (as required). We would also expect you to clear all rubbish and wipe down the walls, doors, windowsills, pipework and skirtings, as needed along with cleaning the internal windows that are within reach.

Specialist Skills & Experience 

Physically able to carry out the tasks associated with cleaning, including (but not limited to) bending, moderate lifting and carrying cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners.

Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, including their safe use.

An awareness of the responsibilities of working in an environment with young people.

To act in a professional manner at all times in accordance with the schools code of conduct outlined in the staff handbook.

Previous cleaning experience
